The Australian Transport Safety Bureau released footage of the moment a skydiver's parachute wrapped around a plane wing on 20 September 2025, in Far North Queensland.
Video shows the handle from the skydiver's reserve parachute snagged on the planes wing flap and accidentally deploying, leaving them hanging from the stabiliser by the parachute.
The skydiver cut himself free and survived the incident with minor injuries.
