Crunchyroll has landed on Apple TV, making it a little more convenient for anime fans to access their subscriptions on an additional platform. Beginning today, viewers in the US, UK, Canada and Australia can subscribe to Crunchyroll through Apple TV, the anime giant announced on Friday. This is right on time for spring anime season, and good timing for anyone who hasn't finished the third season of Jujutsu Kaisen yet.
Fans will be able to watch shows like Solo Leveling, Demon Slayer, Gachiakuta and Frieren: Beyond Journey's End on their Apple devices, consoles, smart TVs and more. The anime streamer offers simulcasts of the newest titles out of Japan, and its library has close to 25,000 hours of content. Its upcoming slate of spring releases include Re:Zero, One Piece and Dr. Stone.
In February, Crunchyroll raised prices on all of its plans, which now range from $10 per month to $18 a month. The addition to Apple TV is part of the anime streaming service's strategy to expand access. Crunchyroll launched on Prime Video as an add-on in 2023 and rolled out free anime-all-day channels on platforms such as Pluto TV, The Roku Channel and Samsung TV Plus.
