Blue Gate's Locked Gate Event doesn't just "happen" on a schedule—it hijacks the whole match. It shows up only twice a day, so people treat it like a flash sale: drop what you're doing, sprint to the objective, and pray your team doesn't implode. If you're still figuring out what's worth chasing, it helps to know how the event ties into the bigger loot ecosystem, including ARC Raiders Items that players are building their runs around. You've got 40 minutes, four Security Codes, and a lobby full of folks who'll smile at you and then take your backpack.

1) Where the codes actually come from

The codes aren't sitting on the same shelf every match. What stays consistent is the search area: four zones with caches that can spit out a code. Start at Ancient Fort if you're confident with movement, because the mines there punish sloppy pathing. Don't waste time on the puzzle room—hit the normal crates and keep rotating. Next, swing through Raider's Refuge and treat every sealed metal bin like it's guilty until proven innocent. Reinforced Reception is the "thank you, game" location; half the time a code is just tucked into a trashcan or a plain container in the main building. Then there's Pilgrim's Peak, where two Rocketeers often hold the place hostage. I usually throw a Lure Grenade to pull them off-angle, or I'll post up and pick them apart before I ever step into the open.

2) Carrying a code is when the real fight starts

Once you've got a code, you're basically wearing a sign that says "free loot." The destination is the Gate Control Room above the checkpoint gate near Warehouse Complex. Inside are four wall consoles—one upload per code. Sounds simple, right up until you realise that room is the event's favourite camping spot. People wedge behind doors, corners, even the consoles themselves. Clear it like you mean it: one player holds the stair/door line, another checks tight angles, and the carrier stays last in. And yeah, if your RNG is cursed, plenty of players just lurk near underground entrances and wait for others to do the uploading.

3) The moment the gate opens, commit fast

When the fourth console lights, the Outer Gate doors slide open and the whole server piles in. If you hesitate, you're fighting in a choke with no space to reset. Push through, then cut straight toward the Security Wing and the Breach Room. That's where the best caches cluster, and it's also where you'll hear the same panic comms every match: someone got separated, someone's reloading, someone swears they saw a blueprint. The Bobcat Weapon Blueprint shows up a lot down there, and sometimes—rarely—it pops in a random topside crate while the event is active.

4) Getting out matters more than winning the vault

The vault run isn't finished when you grab loot; it's finished when you're back in daylight with your kit intact. Don't overstay just because the room's quiet—quiet usually means someone's holding an angle and waiting. Keep your squad close, rotate together, and pick exits that don't funnel you into the same traffic as everyone else.
