Hulu is packed with fascinating horror films. Before we list the streaming service's absolute best options, let's cover some worthy alternatives.

Hulu is home to Bong Joon Ho's The Host (2006). There's also the psychological horror movie Smile (2022), slasher Thanksgiving (2023) and the romance-gone-wrong Fresh (2022). Finally, you should check out Dangerous Animals (2025), Immaculate (2024), Clown in a Cornfield (2025) and Bone Tomahawk (2015), starring Kurt Russell.

Now, on to a roundup of the best horror movies on Hulu.

Lukasz Bak/Shudder

The Ugly Stepsister mixes dreamy fairy-tale sequences with hacked-off limbs as Elvira goes to extremes to win over a prince. The film from Norwegian director Emilie Blichfeldt received an Oscar nomination for best makeup and hairstyling, and it's likely to be a hit with body horror fans of The Substance.

Neon

This horror comedy adapts a Stephen King short story and revolves around estranged twin brothers (both played by White Lotus star Theo James) and an evil toy monkey. Directed by Osgood Perkins (Longlegs), the flick sees brutal deaths occur when the unsettling, drum-playing primate is around.

Neon

This wild, disturbing dark comedy is upping Hulu's horror game. Together stars real-life couple Alison Brie and Dave Franco as a pair in a years-long relationship. A move from the city to the country introduces chilling body horror.

Hulu

If you count incredibly capable, invisible killing machines as scary, you may be watching some of the scenes in Prey through your fingers. This addition to the Predator franchise takes place in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago and centers on a young warrior named Naru. Watch this one for a compelling underdog story about a human determinedly fighting against a powerful alien.

A seemingly made-up monster creeps more and more into the lives of a single mother and her young son in this critically acclaimed movie. The horror escalates after a haunting storybook turns up. The film is written and directed by Jennifer Kent, who also wrote and directed the 2018 thriller The Nightingale.

Umbrella Entertainment

A possessed girl is a special guest on a 1977 talk show in this horror flick that gradually gets more intense. The film stars David Dastmalchian as Jack Delroy, a charismatic host who wants to boost his ratings. If you're craving supernatural horror, stay seated for this terrifying Halloween special.

Searchlight Pictures

Ready or Not has it all -- horror, comedy, murderous in-laws and a memorable performance by Samara Weaving. There's also a sequel in theaters later this month. In the first film, things turn deadly after just-married Grace (Weaving) takes part in a tradition with her new husband's family.

Neon

This bleak thriller -- the second film on this list from writer-director Osgood Perkins -- delivers twists, haunting visuals and a highly unsettling villain. The flick follows a young FBI agent looking into multiple baffling family murders. Nicolas Cage stars as the sufficiently startling titular character.

20th Century Studios

This flick stars a captivating Nell Tiger Free (Myrcella Baratheon in Game of Thrones) as an American woman working in Rome who uncovers a scheme to birth the Antichrist. It's a prequel to 1976's The Omen.
