The Nintendo Music service's latest update will make it much easier to listen to Mario Kart music while driving, or Star Fox 64 tunes while working from the office.

The music service on Tuesday launched a web browser player, support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a tablet-optimized app, greatly expanding access to the video game soundtrack library.

Nintendo Music is a perk provided to subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online, which otherwise headlines access to online multiplayer games alongside a retro game library of titles spanning the original Nintendo Entertainment System up through the Nintendo GameCube.

The new Nintendo Music update comes as the company continues to spread its video game properties into other entertainment spaces, against the backdrop of your cost-benefit considerations: The price to purchase a Nintendo Switch 2 console will increase by $50 later this year. Those of you still playing games on the original Nintendo Switch can also make use of Switch Online's perks -- including this music service update -- without needing to upgrade to the newer console.

The update to the music service comes not long after the release of the Super Mario Galaxy movie in theaters, while a film based on The Legend of Zelda is in production.
