The Switch 2’s price is set to increase by $50 on September 1st, starting at $499.99, so if you’re purchasing one before that (or you already own one), now’s a good time to also save on accessories while you can. Amazon’s Prime Day has delivered many great game deals, but some of the best sales are also on controllers, chargers, and other related products.

Our own Cameron Faulkner has gone to great lengths to test many of these for the Switch 2. There are great options from well-known brands like Belkin, 8BitDo, and Samsung, but there are some lesser known options from the likes of EasySMX and Tomtoc that are also gems. Like the original Switch, the Switch 2’s hybrid handheld nature allows you to accessorize it in unique ways — some of which can offer very nice quality of life improvements for either on-the-go or at-home play.

Here are our top choices for Prime Day deals on a variety of Switch 2 accessories.

Samsung's P9 microSD Express card next to an Android phone with a controller attached.Samsung's P9 microSD Express card next to an Android phone with a controller attached.

$40

The P9 is great if you need more storage for your Nintendo Switch 2. The microSD Express card offers sequential read speeds of up to 800MB/s, but only gadgets with a microSD Express card slot can take full advantage of the highest speeds. That includes certain cameras, tablets, and drones with a microSD USH-I slot.

My go-to screen protector brand for years has been amFilm. Three glossy tempered glass sheets come in the box, and the tools make installation fairly simple. JSAUX’s model is just as good based on my testing, and just as affordable.

$6

In keeping up with some brands that offer faster installations, amFilm offers a two-pack of glossy protectors that includes a “OneTouch” tray. Remove the protector’s bottom film, attach the tray to your device, and then press gently on the protector until it’s fully applied.

$8

Let’s start with one of the most affordable options if you want to go the matte-textured route. AmFilm sells a two-pack of protectors at Amazon for $8.99. The set includes a plastic frame that serves as a guide to align the protector just right. JSAUX makes a similar product that’s the same price.

$10

AmFilm also sells a two-pack with a OneTouch frame for easier installation. Again, keep in mind that opting for matte over glossy will reduce glare, but at the cost of viewing angles as well as the full vivid quality of the Switch 2’s screen. That’ll be an acceptable tradeoff for some, but not all people.

$25

Tomtoc’s hardshell case for the Switch 2 features a soft touch and a slim fit; it also includes a flap that protects the console’s screen while providing space for up to 12 cartridges.

$24

A hard shell carrying case that stores the Switch 2, up to 12 game cartridges, and has a pocket perfectly sized for an AirTag.

$24

Jsaux’s protective case covers the front and rear of the Switch 2 as well as Joy-Cons. It has a cutout for the kickstand, and under its top lid are slots for storing 10 game cartridges.
