Title IX was one of the greatest legislations for womens equality that happened to be in sports."The WNBAs collective bargaining agreements Article XIII, Section 1(a) states: "Only players who are women are eligible to play in the WNBA." But as OutKick/Fox News Digital previously reported, the 409-page agreement never defines "woman" or "women." The terms "transgender" and "gender identity" dont appear anywhere in the document.The CBA contains detailed definitions for dozens of other terms. Yet the agreement doesnt define the word that determines who may play in the league.A WNBA spokesperson said a meeting was held on a "wide range of topics, including ongoing discussions on transgender athletes and the continued hate and vitriol directed at players online." The league said it "strongly" denounces "bad-faith efforts to use these topics to demean or marginalize others."
